What conditions are needed for better preservation of silicone sealing rings?

The function of silicone sealing rings should be better understood than others. Sealing rings are used in hydraulic and pneumatic systems, as well as various mechanical equipment and components, to seal when stationary or in motion under specified pressure, temperature, and different liquid and gas media. If you want to store silicone seals, try to avoid direct sunlight or place them near boilers and other high-temperature heat sources to avoid premature aging of silicone seals. During the preservation process, the silicone sealing ring appears as a white powder, so there is no need to worry as it will not affect the performance and service life of the silicone sealing ring.

The main storage conditions for silicone sealing rings are as follows:

1. Humidity: The relative humidity of the warehouse should be less than 70% to avoid being too wet or too dry, and there should be no condensation phenomenon.

2. Temperature: 5-25 ℃ is the ideal storage temperature. Avoid contact with heat sources and sunlight. Before use, the seal removed from low-temperature storage should be placed in an environment of 20 ℃.

3. Light: Avoid sunlight and strong artificial light sources containing ultraviolet rays. UV resistant bags provide the best protection. Suggest applying red or orange paint or film to the windows of the warehouse.

4. Deformation: Rubber components should be placed as freely as possible to avoid tension, compression, or other deformations.

5. Oxygen and ozone: Silicone materials should avoid exposure to circulating air. This can be achieved through packaging, wrapping, storage in sealed containers, or other appropriate methods. Ozone is harmful to most elastomers, and the following equipment should be avoided in warehouses: mercury vapor lamps, high-voltage electrical equipment, etc.
